We finally made it to Minneapolis after too many hours of driving.
The campus was basically deserted since it’s summer and a Sunday, but I found that to be incredibly peaceful.
My mom and I walked around a lot and I found my orientation locations and where my dorm was.
The campus is so pretty and the grounds are lush with bright green foliage and flower beds.
We passed through Dinkytown, the medical facilities, the housing halls, and the art museum.
It’s weird to think that in a month, Coffman Union (and all of campus) will be filled with thousands of people. I’m glad I got a chance to enjoy it in the peace and quiet.
I’m falling more and more in love with the school. I love the ivy covered bricks, the hidden benches behind dense trees and flowers, the balance of both old and new.
I think I made the right choice.
we wrote cute messages on a bunch of balloons at the meetup today and sent them blowing around the park :-)
